90% works complete on ESI Hospital at Sheela Nagar: MP Sribharat

Nearly 90 per cent of the construction work of the ESI Hospital at Sheela Nagar has been completed, Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat said, expressing satisfaction over the pace of progress.

The MP, accompanied by Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao, visited the project site on Tuesday to review the ongoing works in the Gajuwaka Assembly constituency and assess the status of key infrastructure components.

Mr. Sribharat said the 400-bed hospital, which includes 350 general beds and 50 super-speciality beds, is being developed on a large scale and is nearing completion. Spread over nearly 7 lakh square feet, the facility is expected to significantly strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the region once operational.

He noted that the project includes a well-planned basement parking facility for 160 cars, in addition to space for 30 vehicles outside the premises. Core amenities such as water supply systems, centralised air conditioning, and elevators are being installed in an integrated manner to ensure smooth hospital operations.

Emphasising quality, the MP directed the executing agencies to maintain high construction standards in the final phase of the project and avoid any compromise on safety or durability.

He expressed confidence that the remaining works would be completed within the next three months, paving the way for the hospital to become functional soon.
