DRM reviews infrastructure and safety measures at Waltair Division
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Lalit Bohra conducted a comprehensive review meeting with the Civil Engineering Department of Waltair Division at the renovated Engineering Conference Hall on Sunday.
The discussions focused on ongoing maintenance works, infrastructural development projects, Amrit Bharat Station Works, disaster management preparedness, and safety protocols in boulder-fall prone areas. Bohra interacted with senior supervisors to assess ground-level measures and emphasised strict adherence to safety norms.
“Safety is the foremost priority of the Railways,” Bohra said. “It is imperative that all teams maintain constant vigilance and ensure timely execution of duties to facilitate smooth train operations.”
The meeting was attended by ADRM (Infrastructure) E. Santharam, ADRM (Operations) Manoj Kumar Sahoo, Senior Divisional Engineer A.K. Moharana, other Senior Divisional Engineers, officers, and senior supervisors of the Civil Engineering Department.
Prior to the review, Bohra inaugurated the renovated Conference Hall and appreciated the upgraded facilities. “The new hall will support better planning and monitoring of projects and meetings, enabling efficient coordination among teams,” he added.
He also highlighted the importance of inter-departmental cooperation, noting, “Enhanced coordination across departments is crucial, especially during the busy season, to improve overall divisional performance and maintain passenger safety.”
