TDP President Reviews Preparations for PM Modi’s Public Meeting in Kurnool
TDP State President and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao said that the upcoming public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kurnool is expected to be a landmark event in the district. The Centre is organizing the meeting in the wake of its GST 2.0 reforms.
Speaking during a review of preparations for the event, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that careful planning was underway to ensure the event runs smoothly. “From traffic management to drinking water, medical facilities, and parking, every department is coordinating closely to make sure the event proceeds seamlessly,” he said.
Describing GST 2.0 as a major reform, he said it marked a new phase in India’s economic evolution. “This is not merely a tax reform; it is a structural transformation that will energize the nation’s economy,” he added. The changes, he noted, will benefit small traders, farmers, middle-class families, and homemakers.
Households in Andhra Pradesh could save between Rs 15,000 and Rs 40,000 each year. The State is expected to gain nearly Rs 8,000 crore in additional revenue. Across the country, national savings from the reform are projected to exceed Rs 2.5 lakh crore. Mr. Srinivasa Rao also lauded the coalition government’s achievements over the past sixteen months.
The MLA outlined the State’s development vision. Visakhapatnam is set to emerge as an IT hub, Rayalaseema as a Solar and Drone Hub, and Kurnool as a Drone Hub. These initiatives are expected to generate around 20 lakh jobs, including five lakh in the IT sector.
Emphasizing the coalition led by Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said the alliance is focused on public welfare. “The partnership is driven by purpose, not politics,” he said.
