APSRTC Special Buses to Pancharama Temples Make Karthika Masam Travel Easy
Devotees planning to visit the pancharama kshetrams during the auspicious Karthika Masam can now travel more conveniently. APSRTC’s Visakhapatnam Region will operate special buses from the Dwaraka bus station (RTC Complex) to all five temples on weekends.
“All five pancharama temples—Amaravati, Bhimavaram, Palakole, Draksharamam, and Samarlakota—can be covered in a single day through our special services,” said B. Appala Naidu, District Public Transportation Officer. The buses will depart at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays—October 25, 26, and November 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, and 16. Additional buses will be scheduled if there is sufficient demand.
For many devotees, the service comes as a welcome relief. “I’ve been visiting these temples every Karthika Masam, but arranging transport for all five in a single day was always a challenge,” said S. Lakshmi, a local devotee. “Now, with APSRTC’s buses, families can make the pilgrimage safely and comfortably.”
Tickets can be booked online or at the reservation counters at Dwaraka bus station. For more information, passengers can contact 9959225602, 9052227083, or 9959225594.
Mr. Naidu added that families planning outings or picnics during the month can also hire the buses. “We encourage people to take advantage of these services for a safe and hassle-free journey,” he said.
The initiative is expected to ease traffic congestion near the temples during weekends and allow devotees to focus on their spiritual activities without worrying about transport. Ramesh Kumar, another devotee, said, “This service lets families, elders, and young people travel together without the stress of multiple vehicles or long waits.”
