Naidu hails TDP-JSP-BJP mandate, envisions an ‘AI Andhra’

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said the people had pulled down the “dark rule” of the YSR Congress Party by giving an unprecedented mandate to the TDP-Jana Sena Party-BJP alliance.

Speaking at the Deepavali celebrations at Punnami Ghat, Mr. Naidu asserted that the State was steadily recovering from the difficulties it had faced since bifurcation over a decade ago.

He credited the Union government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for supporting Andhra Pradesh in all possible ways, which helped the State’s finances get back on track. Highlighting the government’s initiatives, Mr. Naidu said the administration had implemented the Super Six schemes and extended several benefits beyond them.

Despite financial constraints, the government sanctioned pending DA and one surrender leave for employees and police personnel, while also streamlining the Employees’ Health Scheme, he added.

Mr. Naidu described the GST 2.0 reforms as a boon for businesses and common people, claiming that rationalisation of GST rates allowed each family to save up to Rs 15,000.

Expressing his vision for the future, the Chief Minister said he wanted Andhra Pradesh to become an “AI State,” develop Amaravati as a model capital, and complete the Polavaram project by December 2027. He also emphasized the role of the P4 (Public-Private-People Partnership) in improving the living standards of the poor.

Under Mr. Modi’s leadership, Mr. Naidu said, India was poised to become the world’s third-largest economy in the near future.
