NTPC Simhadri Partners with Anakapalli to Upgrade Healthcare Facilities

NTPC Simhadri signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Anakapalli district administration on Saturday. The agreement aims to improve medical infrastructure under the company’s CSR initiatives for 2025–26.

Under the MoA, NTPC will contribute Rs 1.215 crore to strengthen six Primary Health Centres (PHCs) — Vemulapudi, Gunupudi, Cheedigummala, Nathavaram, Golugonda, and K.D. Peta — and three Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) at Bonthuveedhi, Pedaboddepalli, and Baligattam. The funding will provide essential medical and office equipment such as inverters, batteries, air conditioners, LED lights for operation theatres, and furniture. NTPC will also support minor repairs and improvements to the PHC buildings.

The initiative extends to the District Hospital, Anakapalli. NTPC will fund the construction and repair of compound walls at the Critical Care Block (CCB) and DEIC buildings. A cement concrete approach road will also be laid to improve patient access.

Officials from NTPC exchanged the MoA documents with Shri Srinivas, District Coordinator of Hospital Services. Speaking at the event, he welcomed the support and highlighted its role in upgrading local healthcare delivery.

This partnership is part of NTPC’s ongoing CSR commitment. Over the years, NTPC Simhadri has implemented projects in health, education, and community welfare. These initiatives focus on improving access to essential services and enhancing residents’ quality of life.
