Visakhapatnam Gears Up for CII Summit with Traffic Diversions
Police authorities have announced traffic diversions and parking arrangements as the city gears up to host the 30th Confederation of Indian Industry (CII SUMMIT-2025) on November 14 and 15 at the Andhra University campus.
Commissioner of Police Dr. Sankabratha Bagchi said they will restrict general traffic on both sides of the road from Third Town Police Station Junction to Maddilapalem Arch from November 12 to 16. Vehicles traveling from Visakha Eye Hospital Junction to Siripuram will divert via Shivaji Palem, while those moving from Siripuram Junction toward Third Town Police Station will use Tycoon Junction and Mask Junction. Police will also temporarily stop traffic near major hotels and along VIP routes to ensure security.
Heavy vehicles, including port traffic, traveling from Srikakulam and Vizianagaram toward Anakapalle will take Anandapuram Junction, Pendurthi, and Sabbavaram. Vehicles moving from Anakapalle to Srikakulam and Vizianagaram will travel via Lankalapalem Junction, Sabbavaram, and Pendurthi.
Police have designated parking areas for Union Ministers, senior IAS and IPS officers, MPs, MLAs, State Ministers, and VIP delegates at AU Grounds, YVS Murthy Auditorium, and nearby zones. Delegates from hotels and other locations must follow the assigned routes and drop-off points.
Authorities have strengthened vehicle checks and banned drone flights in the city from November 12 to 15. They have also urged citizens to report any suspicious or abandoned vehicles.
The summit will bring together the Vice President of India, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Union Ministers, State Ministers, and around 3,000 delegates from 40 countries.
