Students Shine at NTPC Simhadri State-Level Painting Competition
Sameer Sharma, Head of Project at NTPC Simhadri, lauded the creativity and understanding of energy conservation displayed by students at the valedictory session of the State-Level Painting Competition 2025, held on November 19.
Organised by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the National Energy Conservation Programme of the Ministry of Power, the event saw school students from across Andhra Pradesh converge to promote awareness on energy efficiency and sustainable practices.
The competition featured two categories, for Classes 5 to 7 and Classes 8 to 10. This year’s themes, “Save Energy, Save Earth” and “Be a Star – Use BEE Star Appliances,” were reflected in the participants’ on-the-spot paintings, showcasing their understanding of energy conservation.
Sharma commended the students for their innovative ideas and said such engagement at a young age could foster meaningful change towards sustainability.
The top three performers from each category will represent the State at the National-Level Competition in Delhi on December 11, 2025. NTPC Simhadri reiterated its commitment to supporting initiatives that nurture environmental awareness among the younger generation.
