Visakhapatnam realty set for strong growth phase: CREDAI

Visakhapatnam’s real estate sector is entering a phase of sustained growth, driven by major investments and improved infrastructure, CREDAI Visakhapatnam Chairman V. Dharmender said on Wednesday.

Addressing the media, Mr. Dharmender said the Visakhapatnam chapter of CREDAI is the ninth largest in the country and the largest in Andhra Pradesh. He said projects such as the proposed Google Data Center, investments by TCS and Cognizant, the ArcelorMittal steel plant at Anakapalli, and the GMR–MANSAS Aviation EduCity have strengthened the region’s growth ecosystem. These developments, he said, have resulted in steady demand for residential and commercial space.

He said the 11th edition of the CREDAI Property Expo, scheduled from December 19 to 21, 2025, is being organised at an opportune time. North Andhra, he said, is witnessing a shift from outward migration to an inflow of skilled professionals. This trend is being supported by ongoing investments, the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport, and Visakhapatnam’s status as the headquarters of the Regional Zone.

These factors, he added, are expected to support balanced growth in infrastructure, tourism, and clean industries, in line with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

CREDAI Visakhapatnam President E. Ashok Kumar said development activity across sectors has gained momentum since the formation of the new coalition government. With rapid urbanisation, he said the Property Expo would serve as a single platform for homebuyers to evaluate projects and make informed decisions. The event, he added, would particularly benefit price-conscious buyers by bringing verified projects under one roof.

Mr. Ashok Kumar said invitations have been extended to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and senior Ministers. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana will attend the inaugural function on December 19, while the Tourism Minister will attend the valedictory function on December 21. He also thanked the State government, particularly Mr. Narayana, for issuing orders that helped restore normalcy in the real estate sector.

CREDAI Visakhapatnam Honorary Secretary V. Sreenu said the Property Expo has evolved into an annual platform that reflects the collective strength of the developer community. He said the 11th edition is being organised on a larger scale, supported by recent government initiatives aimed at strengthening the construction sector.

Property Expo convenor Ch. Govinda Raju said the event will feature 71 stalls across various categories. Banks and financial institutions will provide spot approvals. As part of CSR initiatives, stalls have been allotted to Andhra University’s Architecture Department, ISKON, Apollo, and GITAM.
