GVMC launches online survey certificate service
Visakhapatnam Mayor Peela Srinivasa Rao launched the online Survey Certificate Application on Monday, enabling residents to obtain survey certificates for buildings and vacant lands within the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) limits from the comfort of their own homes.
The online facility, launched at the GVMC Head Office in the presence of Commissioner Ketan Garg, aims to eliminate delays and inconvenience caused by the earlier manual system, which required multiple visits to different offices. Citizens can now apply for survey certificates online and receive them within a week, with the added facility of tracking the status of their applications.
The Mayor instructed officials to ensure that survey certificates are issued within seven days, while Commissioner Garg stated that the new system would enhance transparency and efficiency. The initiative will also process surveys related to Urban Land Ceiling and government lands within the GVMC limits online, with applications routed through the Mandal Revenue Office.
To access the service, applicants can log on to (www.gvmc.gov.in), register, and apply through Citizen Services → e-Request → Surveyor Certificate. A unique reference number will be generated for tracking the application status, and the survey certificate can be viewed and downloaded online once approved.
GVMC officials, including Additional Commissioners D.V. Ramanamurthy and S.S. Varma, were present at the launch.
