2025 sets growth roadmap for Andhra Pradesh: Lanka Dinakar

Lanka Dinakar, Chairman of the State-level Implementation Committee for the 20-Point Programme, said on Wednesday that 2025 marked a major turning point for Andhra Pradesh. He said the double-engine government had laid a strong base for growth in 2026.

Speaking to the media at the Secretariat, Mr. Dinakar extended New Year greetings to the people. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of Swarna Andhra Pradesh. He said the vision aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat mission.

Mr. Dinakar said the State approved investments worth ₹8.55 lakh crore in 2025. These projects created jobs for about 8.23 lakh people. He added that MoUs worth ₹13.25 lakh crore, signed at the CII Summit in Visakhapatnam, were expected to generate over 16 lakh more jobs.

He said welfare schemes under the Super Six reached farmers, women, students, and the poor. The government provided direct benefit transfers, free LPG cylinders, and free bus travel. Schemes such as Annadata Sukhibhava, Talliki Vandanam, Deepam 2-2, and Stree Shakti benefited crores of citizens.

Mr. Dinakar said the government made steady progress in Amaravati development and the Polavaram project. He also cited improvements in education, healthcare, pensions, and the Anna Canteens network.

He said administrative reforms, district reorganisation, and strong support from the Centre improved governance. Expressing confidence, Mr. Dinakar said the government would continue with the same focus in 2026. He said the coming year would drive inclusive, people-centric, and sustainable development.
