YSRCP Creating Uncertainty to Deter Investment: K Ram Mohan Naidu

Union Civil Aviation Minister and Srikakulam MP K Ram Mohan Naidu on Friday alleged that the YSRCP is attempting to create uncertainty in Andhra Pradesh to discourage investment and limit job opportunities for youth.

Speaking to the media, he criticised the previous YSRCP government, saying several development initiatives during its tenure were deliberately obstructed. He claimed that whenever he attempted to take up development works, efforts were made to stall them.

Reiterating his focus on Srikakulam, the Minister said his priority has consistently been the district’s development, irrespective of his position. He also said he was satisfied with resolving long-pending issues that had remained unresolved for over three decades, crediting his role at the Centre for enabling progress.

He further alleged that the previous government limited itself to laying foundation stones without ensuring execution on the ground. In contrast, he said the current NDA government is delivering visible development across sectors.

Ram Mohan Naidu also criticised YSRCP leaders for engaging more in criticism than constructive work for the state’s development.

On Amaravati, he said the city has received full legal backing as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh, with approval from both Houses of Parliament and Presidential assent. Calling it a historic moment, he said it reflected broad political consensus.

He expressed concern over the YSRCP’s opposition to Amaravati in Parliament, while stating that efforts are underway to develop it into a world-class capital city.

On the Bhogapuram Greenfield International Airport, the Minister said the inauguration is scheduled for July 5, subject to approvals, and confirmed that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has cleared the proposal. He added that efforts are on to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the launch.
