Marking a notable improvement in academic performance, Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district has recorded a sharp rise in Intermediate examination results this year, prompting District Collector T. Nishanthi to felicitate meritorious students on Friday.
The Collector honoured high-achieving students from government junior colleges and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) at a programme held in Paderu, presenting them with certificates and mementos in the presence of parents, principals and education officials. She appreciated their efforts and congratulated them for their performance in the recently held examinations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Nishanthi said the district has improved its ranking significantly, moving from 20th position among 26 districts last year to 5th place this year in Intermediate results.
She credited this progress to the ‘Sankalp’ initiative, which focuses on strengthening academic standards in government junior colleges and achieving 100 per cent pass results. She said consistent monitoring, focused teaching and special coaching programmes had contributed to the improvement.
Encouraging the students, the Collector said discipline and hard work were key to success. “You have shown that nothing is impossible with dedication. Keep aiming higher and continue to excel in your studies,” she told the students.
