Naidu Calls for Strong Counter to Misinformation, Reviews TDP Plans

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said the State government is functioning with transparency in its development and welfare initiatives, while alleging that certain sections are spreading false propaganda against it.

Chairing a teleconference with senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders, the Chief Minister reviewed the latest political developments and directed the party cadre to effectively counter misinformation being circulated against the government and coalition partners.

He said coordinated attempts were being made to mislead the public through various channels and stressed the need for swift and consistent rebuttal. Mr. Naidu observed that people would be able to distinguish facts when accurate information is made available, and added that effective communication of governance efforts would help citizens become “brand ambassadors” of the government.

Recalling the previous elections, he said that despite attempts to suppress coalition parties, voters had recognised the truth and delivered a decisive mandate. He underlined that informing the public with facts remained a key responsibility of the party.

The Chief Minister also noted that initiatives such as the TDP training programmes and “Coffee Kaburlu” sessions were strengthening the bond between leaders and the cadre. These platforms, he said, were helping party workers understand the party’s ideology while also enabling them to provide feedback on the implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.

He directed party leaders to further strengthen systems aimed at the welfare and development of party workers’ families, particularly in education, healthcare, and employment.

TDP leaders informed Mr. Naidu that arrangements were underway for the new party executive to assume charge on the 29th of this month. Preparations for committees related to the upcoming Mahanadu were also reviewed.
