Vizag Food Festival to Take Place from September 5-7

The Vizag Food Festival will be held from September 5 to 7 at the MGM Grounds and The Park Hotel, offering a diverse range of national and international cuisines. District Collector M.N. Harendira Prasad made the announcement at a press conference on Saturday evening.

Over 30 food stalls will be set up, providing an opportunity to taste traditional Uttarandhra dishes, organic food, and global flavors. The event, organized by the District Tourism Department, Hotels and Restaurants Association of Andhra Pradesh, and Event Manager Associations, will run daily from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm with free entry for all.

The festival will also feature a cooking contest for chefs and various cultural programs. With an expected daily attendance of 15,000 to 20,000, the event aims to elevate Visakhapatnam’s status as an international tourism hub. The estimated cost of the festival is Rs. 15 lakh, with funds raised through sponsorships and stall fees.

The Collector also highlighted ongoing tourism developments, including the UH3H Helicopter Museum, the launch of double-decker buses, and the reopening of Yatri Niwas for online bookings.
