GVIAL warns job seekers against recruitment fraud
GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL), operator of Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport (Vizag Airport), has cautioned job seekers against fraudulent recruitment offers being circulated in the name of the airport and the GMR Group.
The warning comes after fake recruitment communications were recently reported. GVIAL said that neither the GMR Group nor Vizag Airport charges candidates any fee at any stage of the recruitment process, and that no job is offered in return for payment.
The airport also clarified that it does not conduct walk-in interviews. Genuine vacancies are published only on the official GMR Group Careers website, and recruitment-related communication is sent only through official GMR email addresses.
Candidates have been advised to treat job offers, interview calls or appointment letters received through unauthorised email IDs, WhatsApp numbers, social media accounts or personal phone numbers as potentially fraudulent.
GVIAL has specifically cautioned against individuals or agencies claiming to guarantee jobs, interviews or appointment letters at Bhogapuram Airport or Vizag Airport in exchange for money. Job seekers should not transfer funds or share bank details, OTPs, passwords or other sensitive information with anyone making such claims.
The airport said fraudsters may also use the GMR name, logo, branding and forged offer or appointment letters to make fake recruitment communications appear genuine.
GVIAL urged candidates to independently verify all employment-related communications through the official GMR Careers website https://www.gmrgroup.com/careers before responding or sharing personal documents.
