GITAM School of Law has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Trade Center (WTC) Pune Academy to provide law students with industry-oriented training and exposure to international trade and regulatory practices.

The MoU was exchanged at the GITAM campus in the presence of Prof. Moumita Sen, Director of GITAM School of Law, and Neeraj Khetrapal, a representative of the World Trade Center Association. Astle, Programme Coordinator at WTC Pune Academy, and university officials were also present.

As part of the collaboration, students will take part in workshops, case-study-based learning and professional training in areas including blue economy and maritime governance, maritime law and port regulation, cross-border commercial practices, and environmental, social and governance (ESG) and sustainability law.

The agreement also provides for an industry visit to the WTC facility in Pune, student training programmes, and faculty development initiatives.

The collaboration aims to supplement classroom-based legal education with practical exposure to international regulatory frameworks and emerging areas of legal practice.

WTC Pune Academy, the educational arm of WTC Pune, conducts professional training programmes, diploma courses and conferences, and works with academic institutions and corporate networks.
