Vizag Navy Marathon 2025 Set for December 14

The Eastern Naval Command officially announced the 10th edition of the Vizag Navy Marathon (VNM-25) during a press conference held on Saturday.  The flagship event, scheduled for December 14, 2025, at RK Beach, will be conducted as part of Navy Day celebrations.

Commodore Anirudha Roy, Commanding Officer of INS Kalinga and Race Director of VNM-25, addressed the media alongside GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, who served as Chief Guest. State Bank of India continues as the title sponsor for this edition.

The marathon has witnessed remarkable growth since its inception, expanding from 4,000 participants in 2014 to 14,000 in 2024.Organizers expect even higher participation this year, positioning it among the country’s largest city marathons.

“The Vizag Navy Marathon is more than just a sporting event—it is a celebration of collective commitment to health and well-being in the city of destiny,” stated Commissioner Garg during the announcement.

VNM-25 will feature four race categories to accommodate runners of all skill levels which includes 42.195 km Full Marathon, 21.097 km Half Marathon, 10 km Run and 5 km Fun Run.

All competitive categories will start from RK Beach, with routes designed to showcase the city’s scenic coastline. Registration opens September 1, 2025, through the official website www.vizagnavymarathon.run. To encourage broader participation, organizers have introduced special discount categories including bulk registrations, corporate group discounts, and early bird offers for prompt registrants.

Leading up to the main event, promotional runs and conditioning programs will be held at RK Beach every second Sunday of the month, engaging the local running community and promoting fitness awareness.
