Andhra Pradesh BJP Chief P.V.N. Madhav Criticises Rahul Gandhi Over ‘Disgraceful’ Remarks
Andhra Pradesh BJP president P.V.N. Madhav on Sunday launched a strong criticism of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of “befriending lies” and making statements that “stoop to indecent levels.”
During a teleconference with party workers, Madhav specifically condemned Gandhi’s recent remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother. He described the comments as “an insult to public decency” and warned that “the people of the country will never forgive him.” Madhav emphasised that such statements go beyond political criticism and strike at the moral values respected by citizens across the country.
Calling for immediate action, Madhav urged BJP cadres across Andhra Pradesh to organise protests on Monday (September 1) under the leadership of the BJP Mahila Morcha. Planned activities include burning effigies of Rahul Gandhi, submitting formal complaints at local police stations, and holding demonstrations in major towns and cities to express public outrage.
Madhav also ridiculed Gandhi’s allegations of “vote theft,” noting that the Election Commission had already reprimanded him for spreading misinformation. “It is shameful that Mr. Rahul persists with falsehoods in an attempt to turn lies into truth. BJP workers must counter this with determination and ensure that the public is aware of the facts,” Madhav said. He urged party members to use social media and local campaigns to educate citizens about the truth and expose what he called “political opportunism” by the Congress leader.
BJP Mahila Morcha State president Nishidha Raju addressed the teleconference, pledging full support for the agitation programmes. She highlighted the role of women in mobilising public protests and engaging communities to raise awareness about the alleged misconduct by Rahul Gandhi.
