Andhra Pradesh Tourism Launches “Tyger IKF Scout on Wheels”
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has joined hands with India Khelo Football (IKF) to launch the “Tyger IKF Scout on Wheels.” This 45-day roadshow will find young football talent and support communities across the State.
The tour, led by APTDC managing director Amrapali Kata, will visit seven major cities: Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Sattenapalle, Kurnool, Anantapur, and Tirupati. It will also reach more than 10 nearby towns. The events include football trials, coaching clinics, parent workshops, and sessions to empower girls.
“Tourism is about celebrating people and their stories. Through Scout on Wheels, we are bringing football and empowerment to every corner of Andhra Pradesh,” said Ms. Amrapali. “We want to ‘Discover Andhra through Football’ and show the State’s culture, opportunities, and energy of its youth.”
Gaurav Gupta, CEO of Tyger Capital, said the initiative goes beyond sports. “Our volunteers will guide parents and players on financial literacy. They will also offer apprenticeships and job opportunities. This is about giving families the freedom to dream.”
IKF founder Phani Bhushan highlighted inclusivity. “We want to scout players, empower girls, engage parents, and turn Andhra Pradesh into a football-playing State,” he said.
The roadshow plans to create professional opportunities for over 1,000 players. It will involve more than 2,000 parents in awareness sessions and empower 300 girls through workshops on health, nutrition, and sports.
Registrations for players aged 11–17 will open soon on IKF’s website and AP Tourism’s social media channels.
