AP Job Calendar 2026 Unveiled, 10,060 Posts Announced
The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday released the Yuvagalam Job Calendar for 2026 on the occasion of Ugadi, announcing plans to fill 10,060 posts through the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission during the year.
According to the schedule, a recruitment notification for 1,500 posts in the Higher Education Department will be issued on May 15, 2026. This will be followed by another notification on August 15 to fill 3,797 posts, including 2,778 in the Home Department, 928 in other departments, and 91 Group-I posts.
A third notification is slated for September 15 to fill 1,759 posts. These include 750 Group-II posts, 503 in the Engineering Department, and 506 in other departments. Another notification, scheduled for October 15, will cover 3,004 posts in school and intermediate education departments.
The job calendar was a key promise made by the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance ahead of the 2024 elections. The initiative aims to fill vacancies in government departments annually, with a focus on teacher recruitment through Mega DSC examinations.
Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan termed the calendar a step towards fulfilling the aspirations of the youth. He said 30,607 government jobs had been provided over the past 20 months and urged young people to make use of the opportunity.
IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh described the calendar as an “Ugadi gift to the youth.” He said recruitment exams would be conducted within the stipulated timeframe and all announced posts would be filled. The syllabus for the exams would also be released in advance.
