Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar for Srinivasa Rao

Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division, East Coast Railway, Lalit Bohra, lauded S. Srinivasa Rao for his dedicated service and achievements.

The Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, recently presented Mr. Srinivasa Rao the Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar. The award recognises his contributions to the Railways.

Mr. Bohra said Mr. Srinivasa Rao played a key role in signalling modernisation. He also supported line capacity enhancement across several East Coast Railway sections.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao led the provision of Electronic Interlocking (EI) systems. He also oversaw the upgradation of EI installations at Tilaru and Dusi stations. He strengthened auto-signalling reliability through dual MSDAC detection. Officials said this helped improve safety standards.

He also supported the commissioning of doubling works in the Koraput–Rayagada and Sambalpur–Sambalpur City sections. The works improved train operations and line capacity. Mr. Bohra said the award reflected Mr. Srinivasa Rao’s technical expertise and commitment to excellence.
