AU to Host ‘World Flavours’ Global Food Fest on March 22
International students of Andhra University (AU) will host a food festival titled ‘World Flavours – One University’ on March 22 as part of the ongoing centenary celebrations.
The event will take place at the AU Convention Centre on Beach Road, and it is expected to attract students, faculty, and visitors from across the city.
Foreign students taking different courses will prepare and serve traditional dishes from their home countries, giving visitors a chance to taste authentic international cuisines. Additionally, the festival will offer a wide variety of foods, including Asian, African, European, and Middle Eastern specialties, showcasing the diversity of the campus.
In addition, the programme will include cultural interactions and informal exchanges, allowing participants to engage with international students and learn about their traditions, lifestyles, and heritage. As a result, organisers aim to promote cultural exchange and strengthen student bonding within the university.
Meanwhile, AU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajasekhar said the initiative seeks to foster global unity by bringing diverse culinary traditions onto a single platform. He added that such events also promote inclusivity and enhance cross-cultural understanding across the campus community.
