Microsoft cofounder and Gates Foundation founder-chairman Bill Gates will visit Andhra Pradesh on February 16. He will review projects backed by the foundation and discuss ways to expand cooperation with the State government.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and IT Minister Nara Lokesh will meet Gates and his delegation. Senior officials from key departments will join the discussions.
The Sanjeevani project will be a central focus. Officials will present updates on its progress and explain how the initiative strengthens primary healthcare. They will also highlight technology-enabled diagnostic services and med-tech programmes introduced across departments.
Gates will visit the Real-Time Governance State Centre (RTGS). The Chief Minister will explain how the State uses real-time data and analytics to monitor governance and improve service delivery.
The government will outline the Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 during the meetings. Officials will emphasise reforms in public health, agriculture, and education, with a focus on digital transformation.
After the meetings, Gates and his team will travel to a farm site near Undavalli in Amaravati. The delegation will watch demonstrations on the use of drones and AI-based tools in agriculture, including precision farming applications.
