BJP Marks 75 Years of Nation-Building, Says Madhav
BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav on Monday lauded the party’s 75-year journey, tracing its roots to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, describing it as “phenomenal” and marked by a steadfast commitment to nation-building and public welfare.
Addressing the BJP Foundation Day celebrations at the State party office, Mr. Madhav said the party has become a role model for political organisations worldwide under the vision of its founders. He called upon party members and citizens to remain vigilant against divisive forces, stressing that India must never repeat the tragic events of 1947, when communal hatred led to partition along religious lines.
Emphasising the party’s motto, “nation first, party second, self last,” Mr. Madhav said the BJP has consistently placed the country’s interests above politics. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for India emerging as a strong global force, citing several landmark initiatives by the BJP-led NDA government. These include the implementation of nearly 168 welfare schemes, the historic abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir, the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and ongoing steps toward enacting the Uniform Civil Code.
“While the world faces geopolitical tensions and conflicts, India stands resilient under Modi’s stewardship. The government’s diplomatic achievements and proactive engagement on the global stage are commendable,” he added.
Focusing on Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Madhav said the BJP has worked tirelessly through multiple challenges to strengthen its presence and deliver results for the people. He acknowledged that while significant progress has been made, there is still a long road ahead to make Andhra Pradesh a model of development and prosperity.
The celebrations saw senior party leaders and workers participating enthusiastically, reaffirming their commitment to the party’s vision and its focus on inclusive growth and nation-building.
