Blue Jet Healthcare Inaugurates ₹2,300 Crore Pharma Unit in Rambilli
Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for Blue Jet Healthcare Limited’s new pharmaceutical manufacturing unit at Rambilli Industrial Park, Seethapalem, in Anakapalli district, calling the project a milestone in northern Andhra Pradesh’s industrial growth.
The Rs 2,300 crore facility will create 2,000 jobs, including 1,750 direct positions. It will produce APIs and intermediates with a 2,000-kilolitre capacity and will adopt modern environmental measures, including zero-liquid discharge and wastewater treatment systems.
Speaking at the event, Minister Lokesh said that Andhra Pradesh offers advantages for investors, including fast approvals, credibility among global investors, and stable governance under the double-engine government. “We treat investors as partners and ensure projects move forward smoothly,” he said. Over 102 acres in Rambilli Industrial Park Phase-II have been allocated, with all infrastructure and approvals completed.
The Minister added that northern Andhra is being developed as an economic hub. The Visakhapatnam Economic Region is expected to grow into a trillion-dollar economy, with projects such as the Google Data Centre, ArcelorMittal Steel Plant, TCS, and Cognizant attracting more investment. Rambilli Industrial Park is planned to host large-scale projects in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, petrochemicals, advanced manufacturing, IT, and electronics.
MP CM Ramesh and Yelamanchili MLA Sundarapu Vijay Kumar said the State welcomes investors under the principle of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava.’ Blue Jet Managing Director Shiven Arora said government support helped the company set up the unit and added that it would provide many employment opportunities in the State.
The event was attended by officials from APIIC and APRDC, along with Blue Jet executives, including Executive Chairman Akshay Arora, Managing Director Shiven Arora, Senior Vice President Venubabu, and Co-founder & Executive Director Naresh Shah.
