C.M. Ramesh Inaugurates 11 Smart Classrooms to Boost Girl Child Education in Anakapalli

Anakapalli MP and Railway Standing Committee Chairman, C.M. Ramesh, on Monday inaugurated 11 state-of-the-art smart classrooms across Anakapalli district. The digital learning facilities, set up at a cost of Rs 50 lakh through ONGC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, were launched at the Zilla Parishad Girls’ High School and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) School in Tegada.

Speaking at the inauguration, C.M. Ramesh emphasized that education remains a top priority for Anakapalli district’s development. He highlighted that modern digital classrooms enable students to enhance their learning, develop key skills, and prepare for the demands of the 21st-century economy.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity for local educators to share their needs. Swarna Kumari, Headmaster of Kasimkota High School, requested additional facilities, including a dining hall, a water treatment plant, and the expansion of educational services to the intermediate level for girls currently enrolled in high school.

Responding to these requests, C.M. Ramesh assured that action would be taken. He directed officials to prepare cost estimates for the proposed dining hall and confirmed plans to extend educational services up to the intermediate level.

The MP also reiterated the central and state governments’ commitment to promoting equal educational opportunities for every girl child. The initiative supports national efforts to bridge gender gaps in education and empower women through quality learning.
