CM Chandrababu Naidu Launches Hop-on Hop-off Buses on Visakhapatnam Beach Road

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday inaugurated Hop-on Hop-off electric double-decker buses along Visakhapatnam Beach Road. The service aims to promote tourism and enhance city connectivity. The buses will run on a 16 km route from RK Beach to Thotla Konda, covering major tourist spots.

CM Naidu flagged off the buses and rode one with public representatives, greeting tourists along the route. The 24-hour ticket fare is Rs. 500, but the government will subsidize half the cost, allowing unlimited travel for Rs. 250.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister urged tourists and citizens to act responsibly and maintain clean beaches. He stressed that preserving the coastline is vital to attract international visitors.

CM Naidu outlined plans to develop Visakhapatnam as a financial and technology hub. A data center and sea cable will connect the city globally, strengthening its technology infrastructure.

He noted that previous administrations had neglected city development, leaving roads in poor condition. Current initiatives are modernizing Visakhapatnam and improving urban infrastructure.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Visakhapatnam is now recognized as a safe city for women, comparable to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai. He expressed pride in the city’s growing reputation as a secure, progressive, and tourist-friendly destination.
