Coalition govt. running at Naidu’s whim, has lost public trust: Sajjala

YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Sunday tore into the coalition government, alleging that it has reduced itself to a “puppet regime” operating at the command of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and has “betrayed the trust of the people by dismantling institutions.”

“This government has no independent vision. Every decision is dictated by one man, and institutions that should serve the people are being systematically weakened. What we see today is not governance but a blatant disregard for democracy,” Sajjala said, addressing YSRCP district general secretaries, social media teams, affiliated organisations and legal cells at the party’s central office.

He contrasted the present dispensation with the previous YSRCP regime, insisting that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had instilled faith in the people through his “visionary governance.” “Jagan Mohan Reddy gave people the assurance that their welfare was at the heart of administration. That assurance — that he stands with them whether in power or not — must reach every household,” he said.

Calling on the cadre to stay battle-ready, he stressed: “From village to mandal, our committees must remain vigilant and prepared. Elections can come at any moment, and we should be ready to face them with confidence.”

On the coalition’s ‘Super Six’ schemes, he said the ruling parties were engaged in “false propaganda.” “The government is trying to project a rosy picture, but the reality is grim. Farmers are in distress, corruption is spreading, and promises remain unfulfilled. The hype may be loud, but people are facing the harsh truth,” he remarked.

Warning party workers against complacency, he added: “We must march forward with unity and discipline. It is our duty to protect the party and safeguard democracy. The public is searching for an alternative to this misrule, and it is our responsibility to stand by them.”

YSRCP general secretaries Lella Appi Reddy and Pudi Srihari, SC Cell president T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu, Legal Cell president M. Manohar Reddy, and several other senior leaders participated in the meeting.
