Collector urges Mega DSC teachers to inspire students in Visakhapatnam
District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad on Wednesday urged teacher candidates selected in the recent Mega DSC 2025 to become exemplary educators. He asked them to inspire students and positively influence them through dedication and innovative teaching methods.
Speaking at the week-long teacher induction camp at Srikalash Vidya Sanstha, IT Hills, Madhurawada, he stressed the importance of teaching methods that make learning enjoyable and memorable. He also highlighted the need to instill strong academic values in students.
The Collector said discipline, time management, and a genuine love for teaching are essential for achieving positive results. He encouraged teachers to take personal responsibility for maintaining these qualities.
He commended the candidates for securing government jobs and urged them to carry the same determination into their teaching careers. He advised them to make full use of the training period, study modern teaching techniques, and apply them effectively in classrooms.
“Teachers should model discipline, good behaviour, and commitment,” he said. “They must work with dedication to excel in their profession. Beyond completing the syllabus, teachers should ensure that students truly understand and enjoy learning.”
He also emphasized creating a friendly classroom environment, showing genuine care for children, and nurturing a passion for teaching. “Make learning engaging. Help students look forward to school. Be as memorable to them as your own favourite teachers were to you,” he urged.
The event was attended by District Education Officer N. Prem Kumar, Samagra Shiksha Project Coordinator Chandrashekhar, teachers, and other officials.
