DRM Bohra Highlights Safety Culture at Vizianagaram Railway Seminar
Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Lalit Bohra underscored the critical importance of safety in railway operations during a seminar organized by the Railway Institute in Vizianagaram on Tuesday. He emphasized that safety must be seen not just as a guideline, but as a core mindset for every railway employee.
Speaking at the seminar, Bohra called on the staff to integrate safety into their daily work, making it an integral part of the railway culture. He also highlighted the importance of teamwork and shared responsibility, which are essential for high-quality service and employee satisfaction across Indian Railways.
The seminar brought together railway staff from multiple departments, including Operations, Safety, Traction Distribution, Mechanical, and more. It provided an opportunity for participants to discuss safety challenges and share insights on how to maintain stringent safety standards in everyday operations. Track Maintainers, Loco Pilots, and senior officers all engaged in the discussions, reinforcing the need for stricter safety protocols.
“Safety isn’t just a checkbox; it’s a way of life. Every employee must personally invest in ensuring safety,” DRM Bohra stated, adding that safety, along with punctuality, is key to maintaining the trust and operational excellence of Indian Railways.
Earlier, Bohra conducted a footplate inspection of the Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar Vande Bharat Express, gaining valuable insights into the operational challenges faced by the railway staff.
Senior officials from various departments, including Senior Divisional Engineers Shivanaresh Parvatam, Shivanand Prasad, and Sairaj, also attended the event. The seminar concluded with an interactive session where DRM Bohra encouraged participants to share ideas for improving safety practices, reaffirming his commitment to a culture of continuous improvement in railway safety.
