DSNLU holds combined convocation for five batches
Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) held a combined convocation for its 8th to 12th batches on Thursday at Hotel Novotel, Beach Road, Visakhapatnam. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of law graduates and highlighted the university’s commitment to academic excellence.
Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court and DSNLU Chancellor, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, presided over the event. Supreme Court Judge Justice Surya Kant, the Chief Guest, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to uphold curiosity, authenticity, and professional responsibility. Speaking on Teachers’ Day, he also acknowledged the growing presence of women in the legal profession.
Guest of Honour Justice P. Sri Narasimha, Supreme Court Judge and DSNLU Visitor, called on students to support India’s development through the rule of law. Distinguished Guest Justice J.K. Maheshwari, Supreme Court Judge and former Chancellor, emphasized sincerity and hard work, quoting Swami Vivekananda: “Arise, Awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) D. Surya Prakash highlighted Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s call to “Educate, Agitate, Organize,” stressing empowerment and social justice, and presented the university report. Degrees were conferred on graduates of five batches, with gold and silver medals awarded for academic excellence.
