Experience Rushikonda from the Sky

Rushikonda’s sunrise looks spectacular from above. Gliding 400–500 feet over golden beaches and rocky hillocks, paramotor riders watch the coastline shimmer, with waves sparkling as the sun rises.

Vihang Adventures, in partnership with the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC), launched daily paramotoring rides at Rushikonda and Sagarnagar on November 15. Early morning and late evening flights have become a must-do, offering 5–6 km of uninterrupted aerial views.

Currently, 30 flights operate daily, with plans to increase to 100. Two-seater paramotors, powered by Rotax engines and equipped with full-body harnesses, cater to passengers aged 10–70. Flights run from 6 am to 10 am and 2:30 pm until sunset, monitored by a safety officer. Each rider receives a briefing on harness use, foot positioning, and signalling. Price: Rs 2,500 per ride.

“This was my first paramotor ride, and it felt completely safe and surprisingly comfortable,” said visitor Rama Krishna. “It’s like being lifted into the sky in a perfectly supported chair, with the whole coastline unfolding below you.”

Lead pilot Surya Teja said, “Our goal is to give everyone a memorable adventure. Early morning and evening flights are magical. We’re also planning Jeep parasailing and jet skiing to offer a full adventure itinerary.”

Vihang Adventures has managed aerial events across Andhra Pradesh, including the Araku Chali Festival, Flamingo Festival in Sullurupeta, Masula Beach Festival in Machilipatnam, and Vijayawada Utsavalu. The team has also supported NDRF units, state disaster management authorities, and defence organisations during emergencies.

Vihang is partnering with the state government on a Rs 25-crore heli-tourism project connecting Visakhapatnam and Araku Valley. With paramotoring now a regular attraction at Rushikonda and Sagarnagar, visitors can enjoy a thrilling mix of scenic beauty and adventure.
