Free 3D Printing Training for Tribal Women in Paderu

The Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA), Paderu, has announced a two-day free training programme for Scheduled Tribe (ST) women, focusing on members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and those engaged in handicraft sales.

The programme is being organised in collaboration with Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering and the Department of Science and Technology, under the Government of India.

According to ITDA officials, the initiative aims to promote sustainable livelihoods by blending traditional handicrafts with modern 3D printing technology through a concept titled “Bamboo Fusion,” designed to enhance skills and income opportunities for tribal women.

A total of 30 ST women with a minimum educational qualification of Class X will be selected for the training, which is scheduled to be held on March 9 and 10 at the Coffee House in Paderu.

In a statement, the Project Officer of ITDA, Paderu, Tirumani Sri Pooja said that eligible candidates, including ST SHG women members and ST women involved in handicraft sales, must submit their applications on or before March 5. Applicants are required to enclose copies of their educational qualification certificates and ST caste certificates.

The training will be provided free of cost to the selected participants, officials added.
