GITAM Hosts CXO Conclave to Align Students with Future Industry Needs

GITAM School of Business hosted CXO Conclave 3.0, the Future Makers Summit 2026, bringing industry leaders and students together for focused discussions on careers, leadership, and emerging workplace skills in an AI-driven era.

Over 16 Chief Operating Officers from leading companies participated in the conclave, which featured six thematic verticals, 23 curated sessions, panel discussions, and masterclasses. The event aimed to help students understand evolving industry expectations and connect academic learning with real-world demands.

Prof. Y. Gouthama Rao, Pro Vice Chancellor of GITAM Deemed to be University, said the university is focused on combining industry engagement, innovation, and academic strength to develop future-ready leaders. He noted that platforms like the CXO Conclave strengthen academia-industry collaboration and support sustainable and inclusive growth.

Dr. Raja Phani Pappu, Dean of GITAM School of Business, said learning now extends beyond classroom spaces and that close industry collaboration is essential to keep education relevant in an AI-shaped environment.

A panel titled “Two Truths and One Corporate Myth” highlighted lessons from failure, the need for continuous upskilling, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence on jobs. Experts also discussed professional grooming and academic performance as factors influencing employability.

Another session, “Architecting Leadership for an Unwritten Tomorrow,” focused on leadership in uncertain times. Speakers emphasized adaptive thinking, ethical decision-making, and innovation as key competencies.

CXOs from HSBC, Deloitte, IBM, Wells Fargo, DBS, LSEG, and GRT Hotels & Resorts were among the participants. Students, faculty, research scholars, and industry professionals attended in large numbers, making the conclave a strong platform for industry interaction and career-focused learning.
