GITAM MCA students secure top placements at Micron Technology

Final-year Master of Computer Applications (MCA) students from GITAM Deemed to be University, School of Science, have secured placements with Micron Technology, a leading global IT company. The recruits will join the Enterprise Information System (EIS) division with an annual package of Rs 12.26 lakh, one of the highest offers in this year’s placement season.

The selected students — K. Harsha Vardhan Reddy, N. Manoj, S. Lahari Mohan, M. Varshini, and P. Bhavani — credited their success to faculty guidance and the university’s structured placement training. They highlighted the support of the Career Guidance Wing, which conducts specialised sessions, mock interviews, and skill-development workshops tailored for science students.

Head of the Department of Computer Science, Prof. T. Umadevi, expressed pride in the achievement. “We ensure our students stay updated with technological trends and industry requirements. This success reflects their dedication and our department’s commitment to academic excellence,” she said.

Principal of the School of Science, Prof. K. Vedavathi, congratulated the students and noted that their success underscored GITAM’s focus on holistic preparation, enabling graduates to compete for high-value roles in the technology sector.
