GITAM to Host 6th Virtual National Moot Court Competition in October

GITAM Deemed to be University’s Moot and Advocacy Committee (GMAC) will hold the Dr. MVVS Murthi 6th Virtual National Level Moot Court Competition – 2025 from October 8 to 11. The announcement was made on Wednesday by Dr. Ch. Lakshmana Rao, Director of GITAM School of Law.

Dr. Lakshmana Rao said that GMAC has been helping law students improve their advocacy skills through internal and external moot court events. He added that this year’s competition is important because it will focus on criminal law, especially cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. With new legal changes happening in this area, the event gives students a chance to deal with real-world legal issues.

He also said the competition will help students improve their research, writing, and speaking skills while learning about current legal topics.

GMAC said the competition is open to all law students in three-year and five-year LLB programs at recognized law colleges in India. Participants will get the chance to meet experienced legal professionals, receive guidance, and build professional connections.

The event will offer cash prizes and awards for the winning teams, best speakers, and best researchers. All participants will receive certificates of participation.

Teams interested in participating must email a scanned copy of the filled registration form to mcc.schooloflaw@gitam.edu  with the subject line: “Registration for Moot 2025”. For updates and detailed guidelines, participants can follow GMAC’s official communication channels.
