A Malaysian delegation led by Selangor State Executive Council Minister Papparaidu Veraman and Klang MP Ganabatirau Veraman visited Amaravati on Friday to explore investment opportunities in the city. The group, which also included representatives from the Malaysia-Andhra Business Chamber and several private companies, expressed interest in investing up to ₹10,000 crore over the next five years. The investment would cover sectors such as tourism, hospitality, education, trade, commerce, and real estate.

Mr. Narayana said, “Tenders worth Rs 51,000 crore have been finalized, and construction is moving at a fast pace. Amaravati is developing into a modern city with high standards in governance, infrastructure, and urban living.”

The ongoing projects include Secretariat towers, Assembly and High Court buildings, and 4,000 residential quarters for government officials, employees, MLAs, and MLCs. The city’s road network is also expanding, with 360 km of trunk roads and 1,500 km of LPS roads under development.

Amaravati has been under rapid development since its inception, with plans to combine administrative, residential, commercial, and cultural spaces supported by modern infrastructure. The involvement of foreign investors is seen as a major step in accelerating the city’s growth.

Discussions between the Malaysian delegation and state officials are expected to continue in the coming months, focusing on investment models, regulations, and collaborative initiatives to ensure smooth entry for foreign investors.
