The annual Margasiramahotsavam festival of Goddess Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi will be celebrated at her Burujupeta temple in Old Town from November 21 to December 19.

Temple Executive Officer K. Shobarani said at a media briefing on Wednesday that special priority would be given to common devotees during the month-long festivities. “All arrangements have been made under the guidance of the District Collector and Police Commissioner to avoid inconvenience, as thousands of devotees are expected daily,” she added.

A live link will provide devotees with updates on darshan timings and other festival details. Roads around the temple have been repaired, potholes filled, and drains cleared. Separate queue lines for VIPs have been arranged to ensure smooth darshan for the public.

The festival will begin at 8.40 a.m. on November 21 with traditional rituals. Shobarani urged devotees to cooperate with temple staff for the smooth conduct of the celebrations.

The briefing was attended by Information and Public Relations Deputy Director K. Sada Rao, Temple Executive Engineer Venkata Ramana, and AEO Rajendra Kumar.
