Minister Nara Lokesh Holds 68th Praja Darbar in Visakhapatnam

Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Friday held the 68th day of his Praja Darbar at the Visakhapatnam party office, meeting residents and activists from the Uttarandhra districts. The minister listened to petitions on employment, welfare, and local development, assuring attendees that appropriate action would be taken. He later posed for photographs with the visitors.

Representatives of the Uttarandhra Vadabalija Fishermen Welfare Association requested boats and nets and appealed for schools and training centres to support their low-income communities. Minister Lokesh said the matter would be examined.

Avinash from the Mindi area, who lost both legs in a train accident and has no surviving parents, sought assistance for employment and housing. The minister assured him that his case would be looked into.

Representatives of the Uttarandhra Event Welfare Association requested permission to use sound systems during Vinayaka Navratri processions, noting that around 5,000 families depend on the festivals. Minister Lokesh said steps would be taken in line with regulations.

Gudala Jeevan Kumar from Yelamanchili appealed for financial support after a road accident left him, his wife, and son seriously injured, resulting in his son’s death during treatment.

Other requests included employment for a disabled graduate and relocation of a transformer to government land. The minister assured that all matters would be reviewed and addressed appropriately.
