MP CM Ramesh Accuses YS Jaganmohan Reddy Over Medical College PPP Scheme
Anakapalle MP and Railway Standing Committee Chairman Dr. CM Ramesh on Thursday alleged that former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy continues to follow destructive patterns even while in opposition.
Speaking at his camp office, Dr. Ramesh criticised Jagan for stirring controversy around the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative for medical colleges. He noted that the model has been effectively implemented in states such as Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh and advised Jagan to study these examples before making remarks.
He also claimed irregularities in the tendering process for medical colleges during Jagan’s administration. Dr. Ramesh said the current regime is pushing ahead with new medical colleges under the PPP framework to strengthen healthcare services and ensure equitable opportunities for students.
Highlighting differences between Jagan and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he remarked, “While the Chief Minister focuses on state progress, Jagan speaks without grasping the issues.” He further accused Jagan of avoiding Assembly debates on public matters and sending threatening communications to industrialists through his aides.
“Despite such theatrics, Andhra Pradesh is advancing under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan, while Jagan remains distracted,” Dr. Ramesh added.
He also said Jagan lacked the authority to criticise Speaker Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu and should seek formal permission before raising medical college issues in the legislature.
The conference saw the participation of former MLC Buddha Naga Jagadeeshwar Rao, TDP State Executive Secretary Dadi Ratnakar, BJP District President Dwarapureddy Parameswara Rao, and leaders from coalition parties.
