NTPC Simhadri on Monday concluded the second batch of its Skill Development Programme in partnership with the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Vijayawada. The valedictory ceremony at Sammad Hall celebrated a 100% placement record for trainees from Anakapalli and Visakhapatnam districts.

The programme provided practical training in Machine Operator – Injection Moulding, equipping participants with industry-ready skills. Ayaskanta Jena, Head of Project, NTPC Simhadri, distributed completion certificates and job offer letters, highlighting that the initiative aimed to create structured career pathways for youth from Parawada Mandal and neighbouring areas.

Graduates have secured employment in major industrial hubs, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Tirupati. Since its launch in January 2023, the programme has trained 180 local youth, helping bridge the gap between rural talent and industry requirements.

NTPC Simhadri also announced the third batch, scheduled to begin in mid-March 2026, exclusively for girls. The 113-day residential programme on Machine Operator – Plastic Processing/Injection Moulding will provide full boarding, lodging, uniforms, training kits, and a monthly stipend. CIPET will begin outreach visits in Parawada Mandal and nearby villages for enrolment.

Through such initiatives, NTPC Simhadri continues to promote skill development, employment, and inclusive community growth in the region.
