NTPC Simhadri Celebrates 51st Raising Day
NTPC Simhadri celebrated its 51st Raising Day on Friday with a series of events at its Administrative Building, highlighting the company’s focus on growth, innovation, and environmental care.
Sameer Sharma, Executive Director and Head of Plant at NTPC Simhadri, spoke about the company’s strong legacy. He thanked the employees for their dedication, which has been key to NTPC’s success over the last five decades. “Our success is built on the hard work of our employees. Their contributions have helped make NTPC a leader in the energy sector,” Sharma said.
He also talked about NTPC’s plans, including expanding renewable energy capacity, improving efficiency, and exploring new growth opportunities in India and internationally. “We are committed to improving our abilities and meeting the energy needs of the future,” Sharma added.
Sharma emphasized the importance of teamwork in NTPC’s success. “The company’s achievements come from collaboration at every level. We can only continue to grow by working together,” he said.
The event began with a live broadcast from the EOC Complex in Noida, where NTPC Chairman Gurdeep Singh addressed employees across the country. He praised the company’s progress and stressed the need to focus on long-term goals. “We must build on our achievements and stay focused on our vision,” Singh said.
The event also featured the collective singing of Vande Mataram, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the national song. The performance was a reminder of the unity that has guided NTPC’s journey.
Earlier in the day, NTPC Simhadri organized a tree plantation drive at Deepanjali Nagar Township. Employees and their families planted over 4,850 saplings, reinforcing the company’s commitment to a greener future. Sharma said, “This plantation drive is part of our ongoing efforts to contribute to a more sustainable world.”
