NTPC Simhadri hosts regional Medha Pratiyogita and Power Quiz

NTPC Simhadri organised the Regional Level Medha Pratiyogita and Power Quiz on September 4 and 5, bringing together young minds and employees from across the Southern Region.

The two-day event was inaugurated by Sameer Sharma, Executive Director and Head of Project, Simhadri. He lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the formal beginning of the competition and conveyed his best wishes to all participants.

Addressing the gathering, Sharma encouraged participants to enjoy the spirit of competition while focusing on expanding their knowledge base. He emphasised that such platforms were not just about winning but about cultivating curiosity and retaining the habit of learning beyond the confines of a contest.

Earlier, B. B. Patra, Head of HR, welcomed the dignitaries, quiz master Gautam Bose, participants, and the audience. He highlighted the significance of such initiatives in promoting intellectual growth and strengthening the bonds among NTPC units.

Six teams representing NTPC projects across the Southern Region, including the regional headquarters, contested in four categories of the Medha Pratiyogita. In addition, employees showcased their knowledge and quick thinking through the Power Quiz segment. The winners of the regional round will now represent the Southern Region in the National Level Medha Pratiyogita and Power Quiz.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from senior officials, employees, and their families, who added colour and vibrancy to the occasion. The presence of families underscored the spirit of community that NTPC seeks to nurture through such knowledge-sharing platforms.

By hosting the regional round, NTPC Simhadri reinforced its commitment to fostering learning, teamwork, and healthy competition within its workforce and among the younger generation.
