Parvathipuram Collector Launches Training for Adi Karmayogi Tribal Development Initiative

District Collector A. Shyam Prasad has described the Adi Karmayogi programme as a transformative initiative aimed at improving the living conditions in tribal regions. Speaking at a press conference at the Parvathipuram ITDA office on Wednesday, held as part of the block-level trainers’ training programme, the Collector shared details of the project’s implementation in the district.

In the first phase, trainers from six mandals have undergone training. The Collector said the programme will help identify the needs of villages through active community participation and awareness campaigns, addressing them with a sense of social responsibility.

As part of the initiative, village assemblies will be organised, and teams including local residents will visit various habitations to assess and prioritise needs. Village-level development plans will then be prepared based on these findings.

To streamline the process, an online tool has been developed to record and integrate issues identified in villages, providing a clear database of community requirements. The Collector noted that several volunteers are already working as Adi Karmayogis and urged all participants to contribute sincerely for impactful results.

Parvathipuram ITDA Project Officer Ashutosh Srivastava said the programme would strengthen the sense of belonging within villages and highlighted the vital role of frontline staff. Union Tribal Ministry PM Jan Maan Project Officer Rishabh Chaturvedi stressed the importance of assessing issues directly at the field level and resolving them in a practical manner.

Certificates were distributed to trained Karmayogis during the programme. ITDA Assistant Project Officer A. Muralidhar, along with district-level trainers Reddy, Raghu, Someswara Rao, and Shankara Rao, were present.
