Payakaraopeta celebrates Dhanvantari Jayanthi and National Ayurveda Day

Sri Prakash AYUSH Charitable & Research Trust marked Dhanvantari Jayanthi and National Ayurveda Day on Sunday at Sri Prakash Ayurvedic Hospital in Payakaraopeta.

Founders of Sri Prakash Group, Ch. V. K. Narasimharao and his wife, performed the sacred Dhanvantari Homam, accompanied by Vedic scholars chanting traditional mantras. Guests included eminent Ayurvedic physician Dr. Kannalayam Gopalan Ravindran and spiritual orator Chaganti Koteswara Rao, who were welcomed with a Kolatam dance by students. The ceremony concluded with a Poornahuti ritual conducted by Vedic pandits.

Dr. Ravindran was felicitated by Mr. Koteswara Rao for his distinguished contributions to Ayurveda. Speaking at the event, Dr. Ravindran said Ayurveda is a treasured legacy from ancestors and a guiding principle for healthy living. He noted its growing global recognition and significance in modern healthcare.

Mr. Koteswara Rao engaged the audience with insights on the value of learning from the lives of great personalities. He highlighted the human body’s marvels, the power of a disciplined mind, and the indispensable role of a selfless guru in achieving higher goals.

Mr. Narasimharao reiterated the Trust’s commitment to offering authentic Ayurvedic treatments to the local community, inspired by Kerala’s traditional practices.

The event was attended by Dr. U. Indulal, trustee of Akami Ayurvedic Hospital, psychological counsellor Aparna Sharma, Ch. Vijay Prakash, joint secretary of Sri Prakash Educational Institutions, Ayurvedic advisors Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Dr. T. Ramesh Babu, and Dr. M.A. Sumayya, along with hospital staff, faculty members, students, and residents from Tuni and Payakaraopeta.
