Revenue clinics to be strengthened for faster grievance redressal: Collector
District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad on Monday announced that revenue clinics are being strengthened to ensure quicker and more effective resolution of long-pending revenue-related grievances.
The move follows detailed deliberations at the recent Collectors’ Conference, where the State government, acting on the Chief Minister’s directions, introduced special measures to accelerate grievance redressal at the district level.
The Collector said that special revenue clinics will now be held weekly in coordination with the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS). The District Collector and the Joint Collector will personally monitor the clinics to ensure that petitions are examined promptly and decisions are made without unnecessary delay.
Mr. Harendhira Prasad called upon revenue officials to work in line with the government’s priorities, stressing accountability and the timely delivery of services. He expressed confidence that the strengthened clinics would help resolve cases that have remained pending for several years. By bringing senior revenue officials to a single venue and enabling direct interaction with petitioners, the process is expected to become more efficient and improve public trust in the administration.
To support the initiative, a dedicated help desk has been set up at the Collectorate to assist citizens with application procedures and documentation. After registration, petitioners will be directed to the VC hall, which has been equipped with seating and other facilities to facilitate direct interaction with officials and ensure the smooth conduct of the clinics.
