Rotary Club Donates ₹1.13 Crore Medical Equipment to Elder Care
Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivas Rao on Sunday handed over medical equipment worth ₹1.13 crore, donated by the Rotary Club, to the Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation, strengthening healthcare services for senior citizens in the region.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ganta commended the Foundation for its commitment to the welfare of elderly residents. He said that providing treatment using advanced medical equipment without seeking profit directly benefits patients and improves their quality of life. “The services offered here ensure that senior citizens receive care with dignity and compassion,” he added.
During the event, the MLA suggested that the Foundation adopt a government school in the Bheemili constituency to provide support in education and skill development. The proposal was welcomed by the Foundation’s administrators and representatives of the Rotary Club. They also highlighted the range of services provided by the institution, including routine medical check-ups, physiotherapy, and recreational programs for senior citizens.
The medical equipment donated by the Rotary Club includes physiotherapy devices, diagnostic laboratory instruments, a nurse calling system, and facilities for laundry, kitchen, and dining. According to officials, the new equipment will enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery and ensure comprehensive support for elderly patients.
The programme was attended by key representatives from the Age Care Foundation and Rotary Club, including G. Sambashiva Rao, Kishore Kumar, Sharath Chaudhary, and Dr. N.S. Raju, D.S. Varma, and O. Naresh Kumar.
