Swami Srinivasananda Saraswati Alleges Tirupati Laddu Adulteration

AP Sadhu Parishad president Swami Srinivasananda Saraswati on Monday alleged that the quality of the Tirupati laddu declined during the YSRCP government’s tenure, causing distress among devotees.

Speaking to the media in Visakhapatnam, he said the Tirupati laddu had never faced controversy in the past. He claimed concerns arose only during the rule of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He alleged that authorities adulterated the laddu despite its deep religious significance to Hindus.

The seer said reports attributed to the CBI pointed to adulteration of laddus worth about Rs 20 crore. He referred to the SIT report and said it had triggered widespread concern among Hindus across the State.

He alleged the involvement of a food mafia and warned that harmful substances in the laddus could pose health risks to devotees. He urged the government to act immediately on the findings and ensure accountability.

Swami Srinivasananda Saraswati appealed to political parties not to politicise the issue. He said the previous ruling dispensation must accept moral responsibility and offer an apology to the Hindu community.

He also criticised YSRCP leaders for questioning the credibility of the SIT report, calling their response surprising.
