Vigilance Awareness Week begins at NTPC Simhadri
NTPC Simhadri launched Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 on Monday with staff and senior management taking an Integrity Pledge at the Administrative Building, reaffirming their resolve to uphold transparency and ethical conduct in all operations.
Head of Project Sameer Sharma said the observance, which runs until November 2, is based on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” He noted that promoting integrity is not limited to one section of the organisation, but relies on cooperation and accountability from every employee. The focus, he said, is on fair practices, timely reporting of concerns, and honest decision-making in everyday work.
Throughout the week, sessions such as lectures, discussions, quizzes, and outreach activities will be held to highlight preventive vigilance. These programmes aim to help personnel recognise ethical dilemmas and respond in a responsible manner.
Officials added that the effort is intended to bring lasting change rather than remain a formal exercise. Encouraging openness and responsibility, they said, strengthens internal trust, enhances public confidence, and reinforces institutional values.
The company emphasised that the campaign serves as a reminder that integrity is a collective obligation and that each individual contributes to fostering a corruption-free environment.
